 | I am a big believer in this program, having seen it ignite a love of reading in my son before he was 2 years old. (I began the DVDs when he was about 20 months because that's when I heard about them. Also, I didn't let him watch other TV shows; he just played naturally with toys and only watched these DVDs perhaps once a day or less frequently.) He began to truly read (that is, sounding out new words himself) by 3 years of age. It has been such a gift to see him adore reading and thrive from the experience of reading to himself. I am so glad I heard about this program and I plan to use it again with my second child. Date of Posting: 14 January 2012 Posted By: Kay Murphy Melbourne, VIC |
 | Many thanks for your quick response to my questions. My daughter was a very alert baby from the day she was born and I saw the programe advertised on tv.
I started the programe when she was 3 months old and didn't realy think it was making any differant until she was 7 months old and started reacting to the words.
Emma is a very active baby and she didn't show any interest in the dvd at all until this last month. Now as soon as it starts she is glued to the tv and when I read the books and cards to her she responds by pointing and doing the actions like yum yum at the word eating or drinking she also walks to the window and points to her swing outside when she see the word swing but when she comes to the word nap and the twinkle twinkle little star song she cry's because she thinks it is bed time.
Friend and family are amazed when she does all the actions to the words before they are read to her. I have ordered the next set of books and I have also brought the delux package for my sisters little boy as she was also amazed at Emma's progress.
My Nephew just loves the dvds and is starting to recognise words already. I have recomended this programme to many friends as I beleve it is great to share this time with them doing some thing they love to do with the extra bonus of them learning to read.
Cheers
Dinah

 | We have 9 children between the 2 of us. We introduced the programme to Ariella-Raquel at the age of 4.5months old. She is now 13.5 months and has 1 dvd to go. We are absolutely amazed that she can read all the words, and for the past 2.5 months she has been starting to say the words instead of just doing the actions. Her speech is incredible and blows people away. We are so happy to have given her a headstart in life and she has an absolute love of learning already. She reads letters off books, walls, shops, clothes etc. Our only worry is that we know the school system isn't designed for children like her and wonder what we will do next. We are considering the other languages available on this site. We are so grateful and very proud parents of our young toddler who reads! | I want to thank you for the hours of fun your DVDs have given my two grandsons.
The eldest is autistic and he has just started school this year and your DVDs have given him a great deal of confidence in reading. His younger brother is just three and is already reading all your words and points to them in books and at the shops so I know he doesn't just recognise the words on the TV.
I encourage everyone I know to buy a set for their grandchildren as I think they are a great tool for them and as it incorporates learning with TV everyone wins.
Thank you again.

 | Thanks for your DVD series I bought it three years ago before we had a baby and had it posted to me from America cost me that time about +- $500 but was worth every cent and more.
My daughter is almost 2 years old and can read 2 -4 word sentences without help and can read hundreds of different words so much fun going to the shops she points to different products and reads the labels as we pass :-) Best is she can read any persons hand written words even if their handwriting is untidy.
She still loves the program and spends lots of time reading books on her own is wonderful. She knows all her colors, shapes, animals and their sounds...
I tell so many people about your product here but in SA it has never been advertised and no one has heard of it before.Hope it takes of here as well would love to see other babies here read as well.
So thankful for your product

 | I found the DVD's to be very helpful, and they sure have helped my
Daughter, not only with reading, also with her speech.
She really enjoys watching them, and singing & dancing
along with the songs.
We were not disappointed :) Date of Posting: 04 May 2011 Posted By: Cherrie A loving stay at home mother, Mornington Peninsula |
 | So I found out about Your Baby Can Read while I was pregnant in 2008 with my first baby. I never really have a lot of money left over once the bills were paid so I could not buy the Your Baby Can Read complete set, back then it was $500.
So by the time my baby was 4 months old I had saved enough money to buy the set. And that started my daughter’s love of learning.
I had arguments with people who said I was doing the wrong thing with trying out the DVDs but I followed the directions with viewing twice a day. I didn't always sit with my daughter while the DVD was on as I used that time to get a quick shower and miss baby number one was a handful compared to my now baby number two, so not only were the DVDs teaching my baby but they were giving me a small well needed break.
Buying the DVDs and books was the best purchase I have ever made in regarding to buying for baby. As far as I am concerned this is a must buy for any parent for kids five years old and under or with a disability who may benefit from it.
I come from a low socioeconomic area and I want to break this cycle for my kids and I feel that educating them is the best thing I can do. I feel Your Baby Can Read, gave me the education and passion to teach my children.
My eldest daughter is now 2 years and 6 months old. She could read new words well and truly before she was two, she could count to 20-almost 30 as well. She knew all of her shapes and colours and all about ROY G BIV.
I can honestly say my daughter was REALLY READING before she was two. I mean she could pick up a news paper and read it and she would pronounce most words correctly. I could rave on about the things she was doing at each age milestone but the fact of the matter is most people don’t believe me until they see her in action.
So be prepared for people who think you are just a parent who brags too much.
I feel that Your Baby Can Read doesn't just teach your baby/ child to read it gives them a hunger to learn. Well that is the case with my daughter. It may just be her personality but I think Your Baby Can Read is what nurtured her love of all things educational.
I have talked to people in the know of gifted children and they all say that my eldest sounds very "gifted", their term not mine, and that I should get her tested, now I can’t afford to get her IQ tested but I know she is smart.
So I work with her every day teaching her new things and she learns so fast and doesn’t forget them either.
Her sister is 4 months old and is also watching the DVDs and now my 2 years 6 month old helps my 4 month old to join in with the DVDs. it’s really cute. My books are really ratty now but I will still use them.
It will be interesting to see if my baby picks things up like my eldest because if they learn and do things the same way I will know for sure it all comes down to the DVDs and not the DNA because both daddy and I are not intelligent people but we were smart enough to buy the DVDs.
I hope everyone is smart and buys them as well.
I think that is everything I felt that was needed to say.

 | My little girl Elsie has done the Your Baby Can Read program, she is reading at age 18 months. We just got in the mail the Your Child Can Read series, and she is in love! She wakes up in the morning asking, "Mummy, Reading Movie Please?". The program says she doesn't have to watch it as often, but try telling her that. She loves the new songs and faster words. She runs up to the tv and picks out the word when they ask. It is a great addition to the Your Baby Can Read program. I didn't know what the next step would be, and this is a great addition. Thank you so much. Very happy with all of your products!
Sincerely,

 | Hi,
My daughter is 4 and a half (will be 5 in July) and we have been using the program since 30th Dec and within a few days she had picked up 4 words and now already knows all of the words from the 1st dvd (does get a couple mixed sometimes)... and so we have shown her the 2nd dvd a couple of times and already she has picked up a few words from there. Prior to this she could only read her name, mum, dad and her sisters name. Date of Posting: 01 February 2011 Posted By: Jasmin Fettke South Australia |
 | Hi
A friend of mine told me about this program and how good it is. I had seen it advertised on morning TV but never really took much notice. Once I saw my friend sons progress I though I should give it a go. It was a present for my son off his grandma for Christmas.
We started the program on boxing day it's now the 17th of January and he can already pick out words. I place the cards in front of him and ask him where gorilla, nose or any other word is and he gets it right every time. Amazing!!!!
